Mortgage loan pre-approval
In this market no seller will look at an offer without a mortgage loan pre-approval. This is the first step before we view properties you may be interested in seeing.

Shoes
Wear comfortable shoes, we may have to walk up or down steep driveways, stairwells and/or hills. Spike heels may get caught in uneven pavement and they sometimes mar wood floors. Know ahead of time that homeowners may request that shoes be removed upon entry so wear socks and shoes that are easy to slip off and on.

Food
Eat ahead of time. Bring a snack and water if necessary. Courtesy dictates no eating or drinking inside the homes we visit. 

Kids
Hire a sitter; try to avoid bringing the kids if possible. This allows you to focus your energy on the home buying process. 

House Rules
Leave the house exactly as you find it and don’t eat the candy or food that might be out.

Other Purchasers at House
There may be other purchasers viewing the house at the same time. We will give them privacy by looking around the outside or some other area of the house. 

Owners/Listing Agent/Tenant at the House
The owners, the tenant or a real estate agent may be there. Be polite but don’t tip your hand by stating your strong opinions about the house in front of them. Ask me if you have any questions. 

Showing Appointments
Most homes request some notice prior to showing. I will make those arrangements in advance. Please be on time or a few minutes early if possible to keep us on schedule.

Digital Camera
Bring a digital camera. After viewing several homes the features begin to blur and overlap. Having digital photos to review will be a memory booster and time saver.

Making an Offer
We will work together find your ideal home. Have the deposit money readily accessible prior to starting the process. Know the market ahead of time and be prepared to make a well-informed offer.
