An 11-year veteran of high technology, Burroughs worked in the enterprise software sector of high technology at industry leaders Oracle Corporation, PeopleSoft and Sun Microsystems where she developed and managed global alliances, led new market development initiatives and served as project manager for enterprise software implementations.

Burroughs currently resides in the Oakmore Highlands neighborhood of Oakland, originally relocating to the Lake Merritt area of Oakland in 1987. She holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Cleveland State University. Burroughs has completed intensive training which emphasized the practice of real estate, the use of wireless technology and serving the unique needs of the first time home buyer.

Burroughs is an active volunteer with the Women's Cancer Resource Center in Oakland, where she supports their mission of empowering and providing support for women with cancer. Her other passions include hiking the many trails of the local regional parks and practicing yoga for which she is a certified instructor.
